The butcher block sits at the heart of our collections; Cutting Board No. 2 keeps its essence. A 7.5 cm (3 in) slab of solid walnut, assembled in end grain and reinforced at each corner with brushed brass or stainless steel brackets. Carve on it, serve from it, and year after year it keeps the trace of meals shared.

Description
Since 2001, our house, founded in Brittany, has designed butcher blocks and serving pieces for kitchens where people gather. Board No. 2 is their simplest extension: the end-grain surface of a block, carried to the table. Set vertically, the walnut fibers part under the blade and close again, so the board shows fewer marks and spares the edge of your knives.
Deep brown with warm highlights, walnut gains character over the years. Grooves catch the juices of a roast, two handles fixed on top make it easy to move, and four corner brackets, in brushed brass or stainless steel, protect the edges. Carve a leg of lamb on Sunday, set out cheeses for friends on a weeknight: the board keeps the memory of these gestures, like all our pieces.
